An unforgettable adventure for Inv. Bahareh Sharifioun on the path of innovation in Seoul, Guyong, South Korea
One of the few events worldwide honoring female innovators and their innovation is the Korea International Women's Invention Exposition or KIWIE. For more than ten years, KIWIE has promoted the advancement of female innovators by showcasing and honoring patented innovations created by women from South Korea and other nations.
This year, KIWIE 2022 was a hybrid event held online and offline so that all innovators could submit their applications to participate in this competition in Seoul, Goyang, from 25 to 27 of August. Also, KWIA, or Korea Women Invention Association, and with the assistance of KIPO, Korea Intellectual Property Office, organized this event under the patronage of IFIA, the International Federation of Inventors' Associations. Female inventors from all around the world had the opportunity to attend the event in person. In this event, 318 female inventors from 18 different nations participated online and offline, and 200 women were there.
Based on these details, Inv. Bahareh Sharifioun, the CEO of "Bimeh.com", has received an official acceptance letter from the organizer to showcase her innovative idea called "Smart Compact Gadget for Cars" in the KIWIE 2022. Inv. Bahareh Sharifioun had a significant performance at Korea International Women's Invention Exposition, and she had the chance to obtain the gold medal and the special award for her invention in the electronic- security category of the competition.
On the first day of the occasion, the jury crew, the representatives, and the organizers went to Iran's booth and Inv. Bahareh Sharifioun promoted her innovation to them as an entrepreneur and a female innovator.
In addition, Mr. Alireza Rastegar, the president of IFIA, and Mrs. Soonsun Kim, the president of KIWIE, presented addresses at the opening ceremony in which they discussed the advancement of female inventors worldwide and congratulated all the female innovators who took part in this event. At the GALA dinner on the first day, Inv. Bahareh Sharifioun expanded her viewpoint by sharing her thoughts and hearing the experiences of others who were a part of different startups and businesses. Also, having B2B meetings inside the exposition with female innovators and entrepreneurs from different countries was a significant luminous part of this journey.
In addition, she partook in important meetings with KIPA, Korea Invention Promotion Association, and Kista, Korea Intellectual Property Strategy Agency. She described her professional horizons and received invaluable experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and establishing startups in South Korea.
Moreover, She met a professional online marketing platform which is established by IFIA and WIPO, which can help the commercialization and promotion of many innovations through Korean organizations such as the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Gender, and Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Lastly, in KIWIE 2022, Inv. Bahareh Sharifioun was able to exchange a lot of information and experience and had the chance to go further in the world and the ecosystem of invention and innovation as a female entrepreneur and innovator.
